What is the Summer Challenge?
The T3 Summer Challenge is a structured, coach-led program designed to keep your training consistent through the summer.
This year combines two key components:
- Strength training in the gym
- Daily step tracking outside the gym
The goal is simple: show up, stay consistent, and build momentum over time.
How the Challenge Works
Months 1–2: Build Consistency
For the first two months, the focus is on:
- Attending your workouts
- Increasing your daily step count
There are no tiers or categories upfront — just focus on improving your own numbers and staying consistent.
Month 3: Compete
In the final month, participants will be grouped into tiers based on their actual daily step averages.
You’ll then compete within those groups for the remainder of the challenge.
This keeps the competition fair and gives everyone a chance to stay engaged through the end.
Strength Component
Throughout the challenge, you’ll also be working on strength progression.
Lifts include:
- Bench Press
- Back Squat
How it works:
- Optional baseline testing in May
- Final testing in August
- Progress measured by percentage increase
This is built to complement your regular training and give you a clear performance goal.
Step Tracking
Daily movement is a key part of this challenge.
- Steps include both walking and running
- Track using your phone or watch
- Focus on building consistency over time
You’ll submit one total step number at the end of each month.
Challenge Requirements
All participants are expected to complete:
40 Classes
Completed between June 1 and September 1
Tracked by coaches
10 Additional Efforts
Examples include:
- Running
- Biking
- Swimming
- Hiking
- Sports or recreational activities
Requirements:
- Must be intentional physical activity
- Must be tracked (watch, phone, or heart monitor)
- Must be logged as part of your challenge tracking
Tracking & Submissions
All participants will receive a tracking document.
You are responsible for:
- Submitting your monthly step totals
- Logging additional Effort activities
- Providing proof of activity when required
Submission deadlines (by 8PM):
- June 28
- July 26
- August 30
Incomplete tracking or missed submissions may result in disqualification.
